Troubleshooting
Messages returned by Barbershop commands and how to resolve them.

| "Online deposits are not available. Pay the deposit in the shop." | Set STRIPE_SECRET_KEY and set up Stripe on Payments, or take the deposit at the counter. |
| "Choose an appointment at least 5 minutes and no more than 90 days from now." | Pick a time in range. |
| "No barber is taking online bookings for this service." | Turn on Takes online bookings for a barber who offers the service. |
| "No barber is free at that time anymore. Choose another time." | Another booking took the slot. |
| "Multiple booking policies are effective; online requests and customer changes are disabled until the conflict is resolved." | Retire the extra policy on Policies. |
| "An effective jurisdiction-matched booking policy is required." | Publish a policy for the shop's jurisdiction. |
| "Check-in and seating happen on the appointment's day." | Use the board on the visit day. |
| "A signer-controlled waiver is required before this service can start." | Issue and sign the waiver. |
| "Practitioner authority evidence is not effective for this service time." | Add or reactivate the barber's credential. |

- With no shop, the platform pages show the shop access panel.
- "DATABASE_URL must use PostgreSQL."
SESSION_SECRET must be at least 32 characters.- Without SMTP, no email is sent and dashboard password reset is unavailable.
