Clients

The client directory, profile, care details, notes, and color formulas.

Clients live at /dashboard/platform/clients and need canManageClients. A Client is either linked to a User account or a guest with guestName, guestEmail, and guestPhone.

Client profile

/dashboard/platform/clients/[id] shows visit history, lifetime value, and care details:

  • allergies, skinSensitivities, notes
  • skinType, hairType, hairTexture, scalpCondition
  • preferredStylist, homeLocation
  • photoConsent and marketingConsent
  • firstVisit, lastVisit, totalVisits, lifetimeValue

Edit care details with updateClientCareProfile. Add notes (ClientNote) and color formulas (ColorFormula: formula name, stylist, appointment) from the same page.

Creating and editing clients

Staff create and edit clients through saveSalonRecord with kind: "client": name, phone, email, and home location. Changing the email of an existing account is refused: "Account email changes require the separate verified identity workflow". A new client whose email matches an existing account is refused so identities are not merged.

Self-service

Clients sign up at /account/signup (registerSalonCustomer) and see their own visits, receipts, benefits, points, and gift cards at /account.

Sales and refunds

Find a sale, void or refund it, and correct commission and tip allocations.

Consultations

Publish consent forms, collect signed answers, and review them before service.
