Flight operations

Day board for gates, terminals, estimated and actual times, and flight status at /dashboard/platform/flight-ops.

The flight operations board lists dated flights by date and station. Staff update what passengers see on flight status.

What you can set

With updateFlightOperations on a FlightInstance:

  • departureTerminal, departureGate, arrivalTerminal, arrivalGate
  • estimatedDepartureAt, estimatedArrivalAt
  • actualDepartureAt, actualArrivalAt
  • status, through three buttons: Mark delayed (from scheduled, open for sale, or closed for sale), Departed (from closed for sale or delayed), and Arrived (from departed)

Rules enforced by the command: "Actual arrival must be after actual departure." and "Nothing to update." when no field changed. The command needs an idempotency key (12 to 200 characters) which the dashboard generates.

Steps

  1. Open /dashboard/platform/flight-ops and pick the date and station.
  2. Open the flight row and enter the gate or times, or use the status buttons. A cancelled flight is final and shows no status buttons.
  3. Save. The public /status page shows gates, times, and any published disruption summary.

Delays and cancellations that need a customer-facing explanation go through Disruptions, not this board.
