Schedules and flights

Provision dated flights, set inventory authorization, and open or close sales.

Dated flights are what travelers buy. Use /dashboard/platform/schedules to create them from published schedules and /dashboard/platform/inventory to manage seats for sale.

Provision a dated flight

Choose the schedule

Only published schedules appear. Open the schedule at /dashboard/platform/schedules/[id].

Enter the service

Pick the cabin and fare brand, service date, scheduled departure and arrival, capacity (1 to 300), base amount, tax amount, currency, and optional terminal and gate.

Submit

provisionDatedFlight creates the FlightInstance, one InventoryBucket, and a generated SeatMap with seats. Scheduled departure must be in the future and on the service date in the carrier timezone, and arrival must be after departure within 24 hours.

The currency must match the carrier default. Carrier code, currency, and timezone cannot change once dated flights, offers, or bookings exist.

Inventory buckets

/dashboard/platform/inventory lists buckets per flight with capacity, authorized, sold, held, and blocked. Change the number of seats offered for sale with setInventoryAuthorization. Sold, held, and blocked quantities cannot exceed what you authorize: "Sold, held, and blocked quantities exceed authorized inventory."

Each bucket carries a bookingClassCode, baseAmount, taxAmount, currencyCode, and status.
