Documents and communications

Versioned documents, signature requests, threads, and email delivery.

Documents

/dashboard/platform/documents. Files go to the S3 bucket; downloads use signed links that expire after 5 minutes.

Upload

ingestDocumentVersion stores a new DocumentVersion. Versions are append-only.

Set current

setDocumentCurrentVersion chooses the version in use.

Signature request

prepareSignatureRequest, then addDocumentSigner. Move requests and signers with transitionSignatureRequest and transitionDocumentSigner.

transitionDocument moves a document through its lifecycle.

Communications

/dashboard/platform/communications.

Create a thread and add recipients with addCommunicationParticipant (remove with removeCommunicationParticipant).
Write a draft CommunicationMessage.
prepareCommunicationDeliveries creates email deliveries.
queueCommunicationMessage queues them. The outbox worker sends through SMTP with up to 5 attempts.
transitionCommunicationDelivery updates delivery state.
