Matters, contacts, and ethical walls
Matter workspace, parties, team access, confidentiality, and walls.
Contacts
/dashboard/platform/contacts and /[contactId]: search, create, and view addresses, contact methods, matters, intakes, and portal access. Contact.contactType is a person or organization, with a status from prospective_client to client.
Matters
/dashboard/platform/matters and /[matterId]. The workspace shows parties, team, walls, confidentiality, status history, and registers for tasks, deadlines, documents, messages, and invoices.

Status: proposed → pending_conflict → open ⇄ on_hold → closing → closed; or declined. Each change writes a MatterStatusEvent.
Access
A user sees a matter when the firm role allows it, they are on the team, and no wall blocks them. authorizedUsers and blockedUsers are maintained by the team and wall mutations and cannot be written directly.
Ethical walls
transitionEthicalWall moves a wall draft → active → lifted. setEthicalWallMember sets each user allowed or blocked. A firm administrator does not pass a wall.
