Fill a prescription

From intake to a dispensing label and cash payment.

You need a pharmacist membership with canReviewPrescriptions and canDispenseMedications, a patient with identity evidence, and the setup from Prepare to dispense.

Take in the prescription

/dashboard/platform/prescriptions/intake: select patient, prescriber, and location. Enter the prescription number, source, written and expiry dates, and the item (product, sig, quantity, days supply, refills, substitution).

Record allergies and medications

On the patient page, add allergies and current medications, or record "none known". The safety review needs one or the other.

Run the clinical safety review

On the prescription page tick the seven checks, add a review reference, and pick clear. Choose override only with a written reason of 8 or more characters.

Review as pharmacist

Record approved, needs_information, or rejected with a reason.

Authorize

Press Authorize dispensing. The status becomes ready_to_dispense.

Reserve the fill

In the fill entitlement workbench, reserve the fill. If the patient does not collect it, release it with no_pickup, cancelled, or expired.

Dispense

Select an eligible lot, enter the quantity, auxiliary warnings, and the counseling outcome, and enter the cash received. Confirm. The label, order, payment, and inventory movement are created together.

The status becomes dispensed, or partially_dispensed if the quantity was part of the authorization. Read the label from the Dispensing labels panel. Dispense one complete item per pickup.
